Based in Kilsyth, Victoria, Septic Systems Australia (SSA) specialises in the installation, servicing and repairs of all types of residential and commercial septic systems. Customer service is paramount to our business and we continue to provide outstanding service to both residential and commercial customers, including Yarra Valley Water, Linfox, Boral, Hanson, Holden, Caltex, Department of Education, several Tier 1 and 2 builders, and many local Councils, Primary Schools, wineries and restaurants.

 

Job tasks and responsibilities

This role, Wastewater Maintenance Plumber, is a full-time position, which will work predominantly in our servicing and maintenance team. This role will work autonomously AND within small teams to service and repair the septic systems for our residential and commercial customers.

The tasks involved will be to:

  • Travel across Victoria, providing high quality services and repairs to the septic systems for SSA’s 3,000+ business and residential customers;
  • Arrive on time, every time, for all appointments;
  • Install irrigation fields;
  • Plumb in the septic tanks, drains and pipes (with neat and compliant plumbing skills);
  • Complete accurate (digital and hard copy) paperwork;
  • You may also be required to operate machinery / trucks (Holding relevant licences is extremely desirable); and
  • Holding tickets for Confined Space is also extremely desirable.

 

Skills and experience

To be eligible for this position, you must have the following licences / experience:

  • A current licence in Plumbing / Drainage;
  • Significant experience working with septic systems and irrigation fields;
  • Confined Space (desirable)
  • Heavy combination (HC) / Heavy Rigid (HR) licence (extremely desirable).
